Photomaly Field Guide is an independent, English-language reference built to answer current player questions without pretending uncertain routes are facts.

Editorial method

Section titled “Editorial method”
  1. Start with the current Steam store, global achievements, and developer update posts.
  2. Use community material only to identify a possible route or missing detail.
  3. Label every decisive claim Official, Verified, Reported, or Unknown.
  4. Preserve the tested or checked date and the relevant patch context.
  5. Correct the page when a clean-save result or developer update changes the evidence.

Original gameplay evidence

The site owner records the tested playthroughs used for Verified workflow claims. The current library covers Days 1–6 of the Windows full release, with Day 1–3 play notes identifying build 6000.0.69.34311. Published screenshots and short MP4 excerpts are selected to explain a specific step, compressed for the web, and labeled with the date and evidence boundary. Clip audio is removed, and incomplete recordings are not described as proof of an unseen final state.

The original recordings are not offered as downloads. This site publishes only the small derived excerpts needed to teach a route or document a UI state.

What this site does not do

  • It does not claim to be the official Photomaly site.
  • It does not host the game, executables, cracks, save files, or paid assets.
  • It does not copy competitor wiki databases or expand thin records with invented text.
  • It does not operate accounts, comments, or user uploads. Google display ads are not currently being served; any future AdSense use is subject to Google review and the disclosures and consent controls in the Privacy Policy.

Current scope

The current version covers one complete user journey: follow the tested Days 1–6 route, understand the studio loop and anomaly counters, clear the Backrooms and Call for Help blockers, compare the documented ending outcomes, identify all 10 Steam achievements, and match known release problems to official Quickfix #1–#4.
