Plan on about 1.5–2 hours for one Photomaly story run. That is a community-supported planning range, not an official completion-time promise. The developer publishes a separate estimate for the downloadable Demo: around 30 minutes covering the first two working days.
| Version or goal | Useful planning estimate | Evidence status |
|---|---|---|
| Developer-hosted Photomaly Demo | Around 30 minutes; first two days | Official — developer itch.io Demo page |
| One full-game story run | About 1.5–2 hours | Reported — independent full-release captures and community playtime reports |
| Reach the ending decision | Day 6 | Reported — two independent all-endings captures |
| See both documented endings | More than one normal run unless a reliable route-saving method is verified | Unknown total — no official chapter select or completion estimate is published |
| Unlock all 10 achievements | No fixed time published | Unknown total — several achievements are scene- or route-dependent |
A first run will usually fit into a 1.5–2 hour session based on the public full-release evidence checked here. Treat the lower end as a focused run that understands the studio workflow. A blind run can take longer when the player:
The game does not publish a difficulty-based timing table, speedrun category, or official average completion time. “About 1.5–2 hours” should therefore be read as a practical Reported estimate for one story run, not a guarantee.
The documented full-release walkthrough reaches its decisive agent meeting on Day 6. Completing the anomaly-report quotas points to Family Matters; leaving them incomplete points to Reset Protocol.
Day 6 is the supported planning target for the known route. It does not prove that every optional interaction or undiscovered outcome has the same structure. For the spoiler-heavy route split, use the Days 1–6 ending walkthrough.
The developer’s itch.io Demo page describes the Demo as around 30 minutes and covering the first two days. It currently offers a 446 MB Windows archive through its Download or claim flow.
The old standalone Steam Demo URL for App 4309160 currently redirects to the Steam homepage, and the full-game Steam page does not show a Demo download button. Use the safe download and Demo walkthrough for the checked availability routes and first-two-days workflow rather than assuming the Steam listing is still public.
The Demo is useful for learning the photo-studio loop, but its time should not be added to the full-game estimate as transferred progress. No official source checked here says that a Demo save carries into the full release.
There are two publicly documented outcomes, and their supported switch depends on the anomaly-report quotas across the run. No verified chapter-select, final-day branch save, or safe manual save-copy procedure is published here. Because of that, this guide does not claim that both endings can always be collected from one short reload.
For safe planning, expect to replay enough of the Days 1–6 route to maintain the opposite quota state. If a future update adds chapter selection or changes saving, this estimate will need to be rechecked.
Steam lists 10 achievements. Several are attached to specific customer, story, or interaction moments, while the two ending achievements follow different quota outcomes. Missing a scene-specific action can therefore add replay time even when the main story itself is short.
Use the complete achievement checklist before starting a completion run. It separates official descriptions from community-reported conditions so an unverified shortcut is not mistaken for a guaranteed time saver.
