Photomaly Fixes: Frames 4, FPS, Mouse & Save Bugs

Start by letting Steam apply the latest Photomaly update. The notes below summarize only changes the developer published; they do not promise that every hardware-specific problem is eliminated.

Day 3 “Frames: 4” photos cannot be delivered

Section titled “Day 3 “Frames: 4” photos cannot be delivered”

The film-order tracker uses Frames: 4 to mean four developed prints. Collect all four dry photos, put them into one envelope, and deliver the envelope normally. Do not use the decorative wall frames: the tested recording shows that an inserted customer photo cannot be removed from the frame.

See the illustrated Day 3 Frames: 4 route for the tracker, correct envelope, accepted delivery, and frame warning.

Quickfix #4 — French localization and save repair

Published July 25, 2026

  • An inaccurate French translation in the message displayed at the end of the game was corrected.
  • A save-system issue that could make certain story-related photos appear corrupted after loading a saved game was fixed.

Use this when: the French ending message appears inaccurate or story photos look corrupted after reloading a save.

Quickfix #3 — FPS and later-game accessibility

Section titled “Quickfix #3 — FPS and later-game accessibility”

Published July 23, 2026

  • The settings menu now includes an FPS limit.
  • The developer says uncapped frame rates could use unnecessary GPU resources on powerful systems.
  • The Backrooms mannequin stays stunned longer. After the player is caught three times, it also moves more slowly.
  • During the voice-input sequence, the first attempt is unchanged. On the second attempt, if no voice is detected, a button option appears after five seconds.

Use this when: GPU usage is excessive, the mannequin section feels unmanageable, or voice input is unavailable.

The dedicated Call for Help & Backrooms guide now keeps the late-game route, failure map, evidence labels, and safe recovery in one place.

  • Invisible floor path: photograph the floor from a distance and inspect the captured image with E.
  • Moving mannequin: photograph it repeatedly; the stun is temporary. Quickfix #3 lengthened the stun and slows it after three catches.
  • No microphone: let the first voice attempt finish, start the second, wait five seconds without speaking, and use the fallback button.

The developer does not publish a permanent mannequin skip, a required secret sentence, a save-deletion fix, or proof that either scene changes the ending.

Published July 22, 2026

  • The mouse-input system was updated for sudden camera flicking/snapping reported with some Bluetooth and wireless mice.
  • A Day 4 bug that could make the order panel disappear after a specific point was fixed.

Use this when: the view jerks without input or the Day 4 order panel vanishes.

Quickfix #1 — dream collision and controller conflicts

Section titled “Quickfix #1 — dream collision and controller conflicts”

Published July 21, 2026

  • A missing collision in a dream sequence was fixed.
  • Mouse dragging was updated so controller, Steam Input, or virtual-controller input should not override active mouse-and-keyboard input.

Use this when: dragging interactions fail while a controller or virtual input device is present.
