Privacy Policy

Photomaly Field Guide is a static guide hosted on Cloudflare. It does not include accounts, comments, uploads, or contact forms. It uses privacy-focused aggregate pageview analytics and is preparing to use Google AdSense only after the site and account complete the applicable review.

Data this site processes

The static site itself does not ask for personal information. Cloudflare may process ordinary request data—such as IP address, browser details, requested URL, timestamp, and security logs—to deliver and protect the site under its own privacy terms.

Aggregate analytics

Photomaly Field Guide loads a Pageview.app analytics script for the domain photomaly.com. Pageview.app is based on Plausible Analytics. The standard integration records aggregate pageviews so the site owner can understand which guides are useful and where visits come from.

According to Plausible’s data policy, its standard measurement includes the page URL, HTTP referrer, browser, operating system, device type, and approximate location derived from the request IP address. It does not use cookies, browser storage, or persistent cross-day identifiers; raw IP addresses and full user-agent strings are not stored by the standard Plausible process.

This site does not send names, email addresses, account IDs, or custom user identifiers to analytics. It currently tracks automatic pageviews only, not custom events, form submissions, or advertising conversions. If the analytics configuration, provider, retention, or collected fields change, this policy must be updated.

Email corrections

If you choose the email link on the contact page, your email provider and the site owner’s mail provider process the address, message, and attachments you send. Do not include credentials, private game files, or unnecessary personal information. Correction messages should be retained only as long as needed to evaluate and document the change.

External links

Links to Steam, Steam Community, and Exophase open services with their own privacy and cookie practices. This site does not control those services.

Gameplay images and video

Gameplay screenshots and short MP4 excerpts are hosted directly on photomaly.com; they do not load a YouTube, Twitch, or other third-party media player. Videos do not autoplay, are published without audio, and begin downloading only when the browser or visitor requests playback metadata or the media itself. Viewing an embedded gameplay clip therefore does not add a separate third-party video-platform tracking request.

Advertising

Google display ads are not currently being served. The site may use Google AdSense after Google approves the site and account.

If AdSense is enabled:

third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device information, or similar identifiers to serve, secure, measure, and limit the frequency of ads;
Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to select ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this site or other websites;
non-personalized ads may still use cookies or identifiers for functions such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, security, and fraud prevention;
visitors can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings;
visitors can learn how Google uses information from partner sites in Google’s partner-sites privacy notice.

This site does not ask visitors to provide names, email addresses, account IDs, or other directly identifying information to Google in ad requests. Page URLs and advertising configuration must not contain personal information.

Before Google ads are enabled for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, this site will use a Google-certified consent management platform that supports the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The consent message will identify applicable advertising providers and provide controls to accept, reject, or manage eligible advertising purposes.

Google advertising will remain disabled until that consent configuration is available. Visitors will be able to revisit their privacy choices through the consent message after advertising is enabled.
